SIALKOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – October 26, 2019): The launching ceremony of the Sialkot Shifa International Medical City was held at the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) on Friday.
Former SCCI President Majid Raza Bhutta informed that the state-of-the-art hospital would be developed on 120 acres of land costing Rs 7 billion and would be established near Sambrial. He further stated that the business community and residents of Sialkot would contribute Rs.5.6 billion while Shifa would contribute Rs. 1.4 billion for the “Sialkot Shifa International Medical City” mega project.
Former CSIC chairman Mian Muhammad Raiz said initial work on the proposed hospital had already started and it would be added to Sialkot.
The business community of this export hub had already completed several megaprojects and now undertook the hospital megaproject and the residents of the Golden Triangle (Sialkot, Gujranwala and Gujrat) could get state of the art medical treatment facilities from this hospital, he added.
Speaking on the occasion, SCCI President Muhammad Ashraf Malik said that the international medical city of Shifa would be an addition to this export hub and residents could benefit from state-of-the-art healthcare facilities.
