New $ 52 million healthcare facility debuts at Medical City McKinney

Medical City McKinney officially unveiled its Behavioral Health and Rehabilitation Services Pavilion on September 2.

The $ 52 million project brings a new facility to McKinney that provides expanded services for the hospital’s behavioral health and rehabilitation services, which were previously located on the Wysong campus.

“By expanding and relocating these services to our main campus, we can meet the needs of our community and provide our behavioral health and inpatient rehabilitation patients with a full continuum of care in one place of healing,” said Ernest C. Lynch, CEO of Medical City. McKinney, in a press release. “This expansion further illustrates our commitment to the care and improvement of human life. “

The opening of the establishment concludes the project which was approved in October 2017. It inaugurates an 80,000 square foot pavilion on two floors as well as a behavioral health and rehabilitation institute for inpatients which includes: 20 rooms of rehab inpatients, 80 behavioral health patients rooms, cutting edge technology, an outdoor healing garden, daylight-focused design elements and an open floor plan.

Medical City McKinney‘s behavioral health services include mental health care for adults and treatment for a wide range of conditions, including depression and anxiety. The hospital’s new rehabilitation institute will provide treatment for strokes, amputations, brain injuries, cardiac rehabilitation, trauma and more.
