Medical City McKinney is targeting a summer completion date for its behavioral health and rehabilitation services pavilion, officials said.

The $ 52 million expansion project will allow these services to be moved from the Wyson campus to the hospital’s main campus at 4500 Medical Center Drive, McKinney, officials said. The project is also adding patient beds for these services, according to a press release.

“By expanding and moving these services to our main campus, we will be able to provide our patients with a full continuum of care in one place,” said Ernest C. Lynch, CEO of Medical City McKinney, in a statement. hurry. “Our patients will be better served when our entire range of health services are centralized on a single campus. “

When complete, Medical City McKinney will launch its new 80-bed behavioral health unit and 20-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit, officials said. The pavilion will also include an outpatient behavioral health program and an outdoor healing garden.

Construction on the project began in mid-2018. For more information on Medical City McKinney, Click here.
