Ben Coogan is the new CEO of Medical City Fort Worth. He replaces Jyric Sims, who is now the CEO of Medical City Plano and Frisco.
Coogan took over the 348-bed acute care hospital earlier this month and will direct more than 1,000 doctors in various specialties. The hospital is known for its stroke, chest pain and surgery service lines. Coogan was COO of Medical City Dallas and Medical City Children’s Hospital from 2019, where he played a key role in capital improvement projects and programs, including service renovations. emergency room and operating room and enlargement of neonatal intensive care. Hospitals also received an “A” safety rating from Leapfrog Group during his tenure.
Coogan was also COO of Medical City Arlington prior to Medical City Dallas, where he helped open a $ 60 million Medical City in Arlington women’s hospital, new neurotraumatic intensive care units and inpatient rehabilitation, as well as the expansion of the emergency department.
